South Coast NSW Part 2
North of Eden is another section of Ben Boyd NP and we went for a short walk to Haycock Point and Barmouth before driving on to Bournda NP. The damage from the strong winds that hit this part of NSW early in September was very evident, with large numbers of trees down and we could see the park staff had been busy with chainsaws. We did a circuit walk to Bournda Lagoon and returned via Bournda Trig, where again the view was reduced by the scrub and trees. The other walk was in the northern section on the undulating Kangarutha Track.
Next stop was Canberra.

NSW South Coast
The wind was quite strong on the day we started the holiday, but fortunately was les so in the north of the state and we survived the ferry crossing OK.
Our first stop was at Wonboyn where we waked in part of the Nadgee Nature Reserve. The photo below is the mouth of the Merrica River. We did climb Tumbledown Mountain, however you wouldn’t climb it for the views which was obstructed by trees.

Inland a bit is Mt Imlay and it was a steep 600 metre climb.
